It occurs to me that pretty much my entire life has been Plan B.
Well, I did get into the college of my choice - but after that? Plan B all the way. Of course Tom is the best part of Plan B, but still - plan A hubbie did not work out. I wound up in a different career than I planned for in college - Cultural Anthroplogy degree does not necessarily lead to medical research, my post-college Plan B career. Plus, how the fuck did I wind up living in cold cold Minnesota when Plan A was definately live in Hawaii?
There are more Plan B compromises than that, but you get the picture. Yep. College was the last time Plan A worked out for me.

1. College Choice? Plan A was to GO to college. Never made it so I guess I am a Plan B on this one.
2. Career Choice? Plan A was to be a teacher or police officer. Looks like another Plan B for me.
3. Partner Choice? Yay!! Plan A on this one! Going on 29 years!
4. Residence Choice? Plan A definately wasn't Eldee so I'll have to take another Plan B for residence. *giggle*
5. Something Else? Plan A is to retire early. Hopefully I'll get to get one more Plan A on my list.
Sorry for being gone for so long. I've been reading but having so much trouble logging in lately that I haven't had time to comment. Your flowers look so pretty. I'm jealous! All I have blooming so far are a few crocusssss. Or is that croci?
1. College Choice?
undergrad-check
grad school-check
post doc- check (but that took 6 months of unemployment)
2. Career Choice?
from age 12? definatly b- I HATED school and thought science was extra boring.
from university-A
(but currently facing unemployement again)
3. Partner Choice?
Mr Bob was my second boyfriend (but he was better than my first and better than anyone I met since then)-A
4. Residence Choice?
Currently B, soon to be A
5. Something Else?
I really wanted to own a house by now.
Kricky, I've been pretty lucky
Are you a Plan A or a Plan B?
1. College Choice? Plan A
2. Career Choice? Plan A
3. Partner Choice? Plan B (he would have been A if I had known him when I was 14 years old)
4. Residence Choice? Plan A
5. Something Else? Plan A
Lucky me.
Not bad, Bob.
You are lucky Puffy! And who knew you were married at age fourteen? I'm not sure if I would have been drawn to Mr Swami in college or not because he was a beer-chugging jock in those days and I was into wine-sipping intellectuals.
1. College Choice? I went with plan B and sadly did not go to college.
2. Career Choice? I never had any real goals, so the fact that I have a job at all I guess says I went with Plan A.
3. Partner Choice? She's Grade A
4. Residence choice? Definitely plan B but working towards plan A.
1. College Choice: Part One of Plan A was completed. Part Two of Plan A? Not so much. That whole Plan (A&B) got derailed.
2. Career Choice: I'll go with Plan Not Accounted for. My original intention was to be an elementary school teacher. It was NOT in the plans anywhere to do what I do now.
3. Partner Choice: Plan B. Plan A was just stupid.
4. Residence Choice: Actually, Plan A is working out, even though it's not the route I would have chosen to get it accomplished. I'm guessing that Part Two of Plan A....well, we'll see when I get a bit older.
5. Something else? Well...I haven't won the lottery or discovered a unknown wealthy relative on their deathbed or invented something amazing, so...
College choice - plan B. I always expected to go to college out of state at somewhere semi-prestigious. Instead, I went to Sac. State.
Career - definitely plan B. I was supposed to own my own business and be an entrepreneur. I tried it, but much too late after I was far too entrenched in my life and family and other obligations. I may eventually get to go to Plan C which will be like a modified plan A, since I'll be eligible for a decent retirement in about 9 years.
Partner - I'm looking forward to Plan B.
Residence - Plan A all the way.
Something Else? Like what? I guess religion, I'm obviously searching for a Plan B. I have other plans for my life that so far have been just that - plans. They require action I'm apparently unwilling or unable to take at this point. I have some great ideas for products and services that will probably stay in my head for a long time, then someone else will actually act on them and I'll complain that it was MY idea originally.
1. College- Plan A, I planned to be an accountant and here I am. Stupid me.
2. Career- oooopsss see above
3. Partner- Can I have a C please Vannah?
4. Residence- I have a choice?
5. Something Else- I don't understand.
Are you a Plan A or a Plan B? In
1. College Choice? Plan B. I stayed near home instead of going away.
2. Career Choice? Plan A (at least once I figured out what plan A was - which was not until I got to college.)
3. Partner Choice? Shhh... don't tell him. Plan B. Plan A would have never worked anyway, so it's all good. :)
4. Residence Choice? Plan A can still happen, right? I'm not dead yet and I can still move to the Carolinas.
5. Something Else? Hmmm... Having kids? Plan C, I think. I was going to wait to have them, then I was going to have 3 or 4, but what really happened was I had them fairly young and only had 2!
*Vanna gives Breezy a 'C'*
"Something else" can be anything you want it to be. Like maybe you always planned to be 5' 10 and wound up short. Something like that. Or you wanted to write the Great American Novel in your spare time. Some other goal you had that didn't work out.
Ugh...
Can't say I lived long enough to *have* a plan, before things fell into place for me. Hopefully the next phase will include actual "plans".
C all the way!
