Anyway - these are his folks, Mr & Mrs LongFunnyPolishName. His mom turned 87 on St Paddy's Day and his dad passed away a couple of years after this photo was taken in 1987. DH's mom had never had a Dairy Queen ice cream cake! Amazing since she loves ice cream. So that was a good choice for us to bring, along with a Cobb salad.

Sounds like a nice little weekend jaunt you had. And ice cream cake? Yum. I used to make those, you know. Wearing my red DQ visor and swirling that ice cream into the cake molds. Ahhhh, good times.
