*Crawls across a barren desert, gasping for water*
This is what my trees are saying today. We are so dry and temps in the 90s are forecast all week, along with zero precipitation. You know it's dry when you have to water your trees.
We have a border of hemlock trees on two sides of our property that I just treasure because it shields me from my least-liked neighbour and her loud-mouthed family. These trees must never die or become the slightest bit thin of needles. I will water day and night to prevent this.
I have to connect my four longest hoses to reach the far corner of the hemlock border. This is lot of hose hauling, but worth every grunt.

I feel your pain. We had such awesome growing weather earlier in the year, but the last few weeks have been rough. Maybe you should buy a rain train (a.k.a. the tractor sprinkler).
Hauling hose to water trees? I feel your pain. Wear old clothes, it's a dirty job.
I guess it's better than hauling ho's.
I have never hauled ho's, lol.
Rain trains have always skeered me. I find them creepy.
We haven't had enough rain here and are on watering restrictions. Thankfully, our county isn't undedr a total watering ban like some others.
DH takes are of watering the lawn. *phew*
You and Surveysez need to share weather.
Give the job to Tom and you can sit around making comments like:
I love a man with a long hose.
We have a well so watering restrictions will never hit me. A deep well. My trees are watered from the Prairie du Chiens aquifer.
Tom works 12-15 hours every day including most weekends. He is at his load limit and I feel bad asking him to do even the things I wish he would.
I water. I garden. the kids cut the lawn. Tom rides the J Deere around now and then for "tractor therapy".
Your hose is too short?
Ooo...I love the word "aquifer".
It just started raining here again. I just hope the rain is gone by Friday or it will be the wettest camping trip ever.
