Ow. Ow. Ow. I hate this!

Okay, before I post the end of my Meet story I think I should post a photo of myself as I am today. You know, so I don't seem to be living in a world of illusion or delusion or something.

So here I am, a couple of decades older and not a few pounds heavier. What I dislike most about myself these days is the damn jowliness I have developed. See, I never expected that and it looks worse in photos than IRL (or so I tell myself.) Some day soon I will get a facelift--but not for a few more years. A full facelift is one of the few things for which I am still considered too young!

Okay. Stop looking now and go read the rest of my Meet story!

I think most of us don't like our recent photos. I try to hide behind people in pictures. It's just not US how we remember US, is it? I saw a picture of Eric Burden of the Animals yesterday. He looks like an old grandpa. So strange.

I hate pictures of me. Even worse? Seeing myself on the videos that were taken in Mexico and Dominican. *shudder* Who is that person? The video has the added terror of a voice that sounds nothing like the one I hear.

You'll always be beautiful to me Swami. *smoooch*

In my mind, I will always be 30-35 years old. Those were the best years for me. It was fun being a teen, and the hard body days were nice--but when you're 30-35 you still look good, you know who you are, what you want and how to get it! Yup. I'm 35 and totally alive! {/delusion}

*covers eyes* OK, I promise, I'm not looking!

In my mind, I will always be younger too. My face & body do not match my youthful attitude toward life.

I hate having my picture taken. Hate it. Always have, but moreso recently. I am NOT that 47 year old person in the picture. That nasty 47 year old person pushed aside the lovely 30 year old that was *just* standing there.

But really, Swami? You are gorgeous, inside and out. Your inner joy shines through, not only in your pictures, but your words. You are a treasure.
