I have thought of at least three perfectly good topics over the past couple of days, but I am drawing nothing but blanks this morning. So I have decided to just spin a wheel in my head, babble about whatever topic comes up and call it an update. So here we go...
*spins big Wheel of Fortune-y disc that occupies most of my brain*

And the topic is? Good Neighbour Sam.
My neighbour Sam doesn't like me, which is fine because I don't like him either. He's a blowhard asshole among other faults and we tend to avoid each other. So imagine my surprise when (as I was putting out and cleaning the furniture on my back deck) he hailed me from a nearby path and then walked over, all friendly-like.
"Swami? How are you! Boy you guys have done a lot of work lately."
Since I was on our newly finished deck as replied "Yeah, Tom and I kind of made this up as we went along, but it turned out really well."
"Looks real nice," Sam said - then got down to the real reason he was there. *Looks at Graycie* "So. That's your cat. She's not the one"
Background: Several times this winter Sam has phoned me to complain that my cat was over at his house killing songbirds. Each time I have told him either "no, that doesn't sound like my cat" or "no, that can't be my cat because she is sitting right here." Evidently he didn't believe me at the time.
But now there's my Graycie sitting at my feet - clearly innocent since she is much smaller and has way fewer white marking than Bird-eater. Sam fills me in on his plan to get a super-soaker water gun, fill it with vinegar and blast Bird-eater. Which is fine with me because Bird-eater is also a bully-cat who comes over here and corners Graycie all the time.
So Sam and I have bonded over bird-eating cats. Maybe we can be friends after all! *gags*

Please post footage of the supersoaker action!!!
There was some show on in the 80s or early 90s with Scott Grimes and the Asian actor from Goonies. He sang "Sam Sam Sam Sam..."
I'm glad Sam admitted it wasn't your cat. *scritches to Graycie*
That's too funny.
So... you were "putting out" AND "cleaning furniture" at the same time? That's some multi-tasking! :D
I like your Wheel of Fortune sounds. I was on Wheel of Fortune.
may I buy a vowel?
Lol, Nutz - I am very versatile!!!
You were on Wheel, Puffy? When? Did you win?
*gives Bravie a vowel*
HD - Sam would not be your type. I'm quite sure of that.
Ummmm, I wanted to see footage of the cat getting soaked, not Sam.
