More or less. It seems like every year when I need to use one, I have to buy a new hand trowel. Some years I have to buy more than one. Where the heck do they go?
When my kids were little I blamed them and no doubt there are a few hand trowels buried in the old sandbox. But the kids are in their 20s now so that can't be it anymore. (Well, except absent-minded daughter does help me in the garden every spring.)
It drives me freaking crazy! I have bought brightly colored ones - with yellow, orange or red handles so they are easy to spot if left laying in the yard somewhere. I have bought wood-handled ones that would be harder to spot from a distance and steal. Makes no difference - they all disappear.
Somewhere, somebody has my hand trowels AND I WANT THEM BACK!!!

I swear I thought it said "towels" and was totally confused until the red or yellow handles part.

I can't imagine where your trowels are. Do you think it's related in any way to the terra cotta tile pieces that I find in the back garden every year after I turn the soil? Do the worms bring it all up from somewhere? Perhaps the worms are burying the trowels.
Trowel is an old fashioned word, isn't it? I've always thought the term "hand shovel" was too strange to use.

If worms are burying my trowels, Seana, then I have some big-ass killer worms out there! Perhaps I can blame the moles. Or the Mole People.
I think Clay is the Mole. Unless he got booted last week and I don't know yet because I haven't watched last week's episode yet. And I will probably miss tonight's because I am super tired and will fall asleep before it is on.
I feel as if I am rambling now.
Clay has not been booted, and I think he is a good choice for the Mole as well.
