Yesterday I was stuck behind one of those "I brake, therefore I am" drivers for the longest time. I am not much prone to road rage but I was ready to rear-end this guy just to, I dunno, restore order to the Universe?
The guy braked at every painted pedestrian crosswalk (no pedestrians were pedestriating in the freakish heat) and every slight curve in the road. Pass a parked car? Brake first. Brake at green stoplight & proceed with caution. Brake at every speed limit sign. Brake driving under shadow of tree. Brake, brake brake. He didn't look old enough to be senile. He looked too old for drugs and drove too consistently for a drunk. I have no idea what his problem was, but I almost lost it.
In other news, I am making potato salad this morning.

Probably one of those people that drives with two feet: one on the accelerator and one on the brake.
So what kind of potato salad to you make? Traditional yellow? Redskin potatoes? Do you add eggs?
Did he also think that the centre line meant his car needed to straddle it?
I hate when that happens.
The painful part of hitting a driver like that is you would be at fault, although ramming his bumper through the back of his head would give momentary pleasure. Worth weighing out the ramifications, I suppose.
The guy physically slowed down, he didn't just flash his brake lights.
Kim, I like Yukon Gold potatoes lately. I make it with a spicy garlic aioli mayonaisse, lots of green onion and, yes, a few sliced eggs.
MC, he didn't straddle. This guy slowed down whenever we passed someone walking down the sidewalk - even the sidewalk on the other side of the street!
My next car is going to have a working bazooka as a hood "ornament."
Pedestriating is a beautiful word!
One of the many perks of living 6 miles from work is I only have to deal with drivers like that for 6 miles (at the most).
I love potato salad! LOVE IT. I make a very basic one with eggs, celery and onions. Mustard is a must, and if I'm feeling wild I add about a half cup of italian dressing. I am sure you will agree the key to any good potato salad is how the potatoes are prepped. I steam them whole and once they cool down I peel them (or not...I like the skins on sometimes).
He probably needs to buy new brakes once a year.
