2. I had a wonderful time with my visiting family! I'm glad we saw the Circus Juventas the first week he was here because on their last show this past weekend the raised bleachers on one side of the circus "tent" building collapsed & sent a bunch of people to hospital. That would not have been a nice gift from Grammy!
3. Dating In The Dark is my new favorite mindless TV show. Mr Swami & I even tried dating in the dark one night but it did not work out. First we spilled water on the new leather sofa, then we heard the characteristic hackhackHORK! sound of a cat vomiting nearby. Since it was all dark we didn't know exactly where the cat was. /end of experiment.
4. Yesterday we had 2 weeks of rain in 4 hours. Very exciting (and wet!)
5. I still think Facebook is kinda boring and not a substitute for blogging in any way. I am even considering reading OT to see what some of my favorite people are up to!
6. These days I am on Twitter more than I am anyplace else.
7. While she was here my D painted the upper & lower hallways and ceilings. Now only the guest bathroom really needs a paint job.
8. I am so mad at Bed Bath & Beyond! I found some beautiful beaded ribbon sheers that would be perfect layered with my new sari curtains but decided to wait a couple of days before I bought them because there is always a 20% off coupon in my Sunday paper. Monday morning the drapes were not to be found. They had vanished from all BBB stores in the Twin Cities. They are not on the website either. Since I was going to get them in less than aweek I never wrote down anything about them - like manufacturer or item number. ARGH!!! They were perfect.
9. Diana Gabaldon has a new Outlander book out in September! I am so psyched and have already ordered it from Amazon.

It's on ABC, Monday night. Evidently I am the only viewer because the onscreen guide for the 8/24 episode says "season finale!" And also "episode 4" which is a pretty short season.
I'm glad somebody missed me!
