2. I got a great deal on some books from Amazon.
3. I am procrastinating abut everything else - why not my blog?
4. Mr Swami has started giving me liquor every night.
5. Last week Mr Swami bought $2,000 worth of chocolates and all I got was one lousy chocolate bar! (Well, the chocolate was very good but it was just one single bar.)
6. One week and counting until my DD from NY State & The World's Cutest Grandson arrive. Too bad they picked a week when the Children's Theater was between productions because grandson has become a huge fan of theater and wants to act. So instead of theater I am taking them to Circus Juventas. It is a student production but at a very high level. Most of the starring kids have been studying in the performance school for 8 - 10 years. As you can see if you squint at the fine print, Cirque du Soleil is one of the school's sponsors.
7. On Sunday, Mr Swami and I are going to see the actual Cirque du Soleil perform Kooza. I feel mildly cheap in not taking the whole family (6 of us) to Kooza but holy heysus you know what those tickets cost, right?
8. I don't like Facebook. It doesn't make me feel connected to anything. It's nice that there are a number of people who put up lots of photos, and photos are nice, but you don't get to know someone by looking at pictures of them. I will take 1,000 blog words for one picture every time. Blogs connect people.
9. Twitter is okay but only if people tweet all the time - and who has time for that?
10. This is the first year I have had Showtime while BB is on. So I watched the BB After Dark thing a couple of times. What a mess! It almost made me want to stop watching the show entirely!
11. And I'm watching Hell's Kitchen again. I have no excuse, lol. Well, I like their opening credit production.
12. We had almost an inch of rain yesterday! This is the most rain we've had in one day since Oct 7, 2008. So yes - it's a bit dry. And during our one thunderstorm of the year so far a 14 year-old girl in my town was struck by lightening & killed. Oldest of 3 daughters.
13. Who wants to come and put up some new curtain rods for me? I bought some great new curtains for our guest room on eBay. Aren't they gorgeous?

Until now that room has only had blinds, so it needs curtain rods.
I'm going to end on 13 because I'm feeling lucky!

1. Yes, it is. I can't believe it's already late July.
2. I have only bought books on Kindle for iPhone lately. I like good old fashioned real paper books, but my reality is that I don't have room to store them so I'm half-reluctantly half-excitedly going the way of the e-Read.
2a. Mr Fro was going to buy me an actual Kindle for my birthday but decided not to. I'm a little disappointed. I want one.
3. I procrastinate a little every day. It's better than procrastinating all in one big surge.
4. Mmm, liquor.
5. Mmm, chocolate.
6. Yay for family visits! The Circus Juventas sounds like a lot of fun.
7. I've never seen any of the actual Circque du Soleil shows but I did see several Cirque performers at a benefit I attended many years ago.
8. Facebook makes me feel more connected to a bunch of people I haven't seen in 20 years and less connected to people I've befriended more recently. I also never have anything to say about myself. My status everyday would be "at home wrangling the kids" and that's boring. I feel boring.
8a. When I read about how other people are at home wrangling their kids I think they're boring, too.
9. I don't Twitter. I can barely come up with statuses for Facebook, how on earth would I Tweet anything interesting?
10. I don't have Showtime. I also don't watch BB.
11. I've never really watched Hell's Kitchen other than an episode here or there. I did catch more of last season than any other, because it was on while Mr. Fro was putting Lauren to bed and I had control of the remote.
12. We got some rain today. It's been a dog's nose summer, wet and cool. Sad about the lightning victim. We have lightning sirens in the park here that go off all the time. They sound weird.
13. Not me. I need to get curtains for my own house, but won't be doing that any time soon.
1. I LOVE summer!
2. I just came from Amazon and added a book of seashells to my list. I'm going to purchase my cart next Thursday (payday!).
3. I'm a procrastination pro!
4. Yay for Mr. Swami!
5. Wow!
6. Yay for family visits.
7. YOU LUCKY DUCK!
8. I'm the last person on earth not on Facebook, and I'm pretty sure I won't be signing up. I miss my blog friends.
9. I've never been on Twitter either.
10. No BB for me this year.
11. I've never seen HK.
12. We need rain. So sad about the girl. So very sad.
13. Those are gorgeous curtains but I'm not really the handy type. I bet Boo would put them up for you after she gets her cast off.
I enjoy your randoms. Mr. Puffy gives me wine at night. Gee, I wonder why.
What in the world did he buy for $2000? Where does he keep it so it won't melt?
Do you have any local colleges that do children's productions during the summer? Circus Juventas sounds like fun. The most recent Cirque de Soleil show I saw was the "Beatle's Love" in Vegas. Fabulous! PBS runs Cirque de Soleil shows sometimes.
I agree about Facebook. I haven't twittered yet. BB is boring, but I still watch and read spoilers. Reading spoilers makes the show even more boring.
I like the curtains. Can my daughter borrow them for her wedding? She'd like the autumn color.
My cousin got a Kindle. One disadvantage, she says, is that you can't share books with others. You also can't use it in the dark; it's not backlit.
It helps that my grandson lives in the sticks so almost anything is a Big Wow for him, lol. We'll go to the County Fair, MN Zoo & IMAX Theater 3D. He is a huge reader and one thing he always looks forward to is Grammy taking him to Barnes & Noble's Superstore to buy books! More theater might be cheaper!
Puffy, Mr Swami's Big Bank bought some gift baskets to send to the little banks. So the chocolate wasn't for him. (I wish!)
I decided today to just drop Twitter.
1. Wheee, lucky 13! My lucky number...
2. Yeah I know what you mean about Facebook. I tried it once but never got into it. Pene's completely into it and spends huge amounts of time on it and then chirps that I need to cut back on certain activities. :-)
3. Did I say that I'm not into Facebook?
4. Facebook? What's that?
5. Bet you thought I was going to say something about Facebook here. Whoops.
6. Nope, no sirree, not gonna mention Facebook in good ol' #6.
7. I'm on vacation at the cottage - much needed. Reading blogs is very much a vacation for me, considering I haven't had much time to read in ages.
8. I actually picked up a book this morning, and finished it a half hour ago. First book I've sat down to read in like a month - four kids, house renos and a side project doesn't allow you much time to veg out.
9. Facebook? Phfft.
10. Wish this rain would go away so I can get back outside.
11. I've had enough of mentioning Facebook in this post.
12. Or maybe not.
13. Lucky 13 is here!
