Sometimes I wonder about Mr. Swami.
I was sitting at the kitchen table with my black cat Tippy Toes on my lap. Well, he was more on my chest with his head looking over my shoulder so he could see out the window. I had a stuffy nose so I guess I did some mouth breathing while I was stroking him. Anyway - Tom walks in just as I got a cat hair in my mouth.
"Oh ick," I said, "I got a cat hair in my mouth while I was stroking the cat. Guess I shouldn't do that with my mouth open." Then I started trying to pick the hair off my tongue.
Tom looked horrified. "Oh my God!!! That's awful!!" He kept giving me the most bizarre and baffled looks as I struggled to get the damn hair off my tongue. I thought it was kind of sweet that he was relating to my discomfort so much. A little weird, but mostly sweet. Then he finally said, "I would never kiss a cat with my mouth open!" WTF!!! Lol!!!! Does he think I French the cat when he's not around to take care of me?
I'm still laughing about this...

I've licked my cat.
Now that I have that over with, Los Angeles has a new law that cats and dogs over 4 months of age have to be spayed or neutered.

It was just to see what it was like. My cat licks me and licks herself. It was just on her paw.
Now for sad news: a local animal shelter caught on fire overnight. The security guard who was sleeping in a nearby trailer couldn't save any of the animals. Thirty-nine cats and dogs died. There was no way for them to escape. Heartbreaking.

LOL I can't say I've ever intentionally or accidentally licked my cat. However, I have gotten a cat hair in my mouth.
