And He's Back

All partied out and suffering from chat fatigue. But he had a good time. A few of his old teammates showed up, and he figured out that one of his classmates is now married to his cousin - because they both said goodbye to the same Uncle George on saturday afternoon! No old girlfriends made an appearance.

They ate at the old school hangout, went to the old swimming hole and drank at some local bars that didn't used to let them in. They also had a tour of the old high school, natch. Tom was very surprised and pleased to see that his State All-Star plaque was still hanging on the wall! So he got pictures of himself posing by it. Pretty amazing! After 40 years things like that tend to get mothballed. Of course, he went to a small school so they have had only a few state all-stars. (I didn't even know he had his own plaque on the wall!) Best yet? Someone had a film from channel 7 of him playing basketball in high school! He promised to send us a copy. That would be such fun - to see baby Tom running up and down the court in his 60s basketball shorts. It must have been one of the more significant (all-star!) games for the TV station to save the footage for a while. I am so looking forward to seeing that!

How cool about having the newsreel of Tom playing basketball in high school! Not many people get to see their husbands "scoring" on TV!

Tom is such a studly man. I bet all the girls in his class think you scored the trophy hubby. And since you didn't go with, you are so mysterious to them.
