In high school you worked your ass off on the farm, from dawn to dusk when you weren't in school--and usually milking cows even before dawn. Still, you found time for football, basketball, baseball and top grades:
You discovered girls and learned how to Dress for Success. I like to call this picture Please God don't let me be a virgin much longer!

*gasp* Tom went to Rutgers? Hmmm... he's walked on Joisey soil? How kewl! My brother went to Rutgers & my Brother-in-law, but I suppose it's not so weird to go to Rutgers when you live in Joisey.

Tom has many different looks. I like the first one on the farm and the present one. I'm not fond of facial hair. He looks like Joaquin Phoenix (or a young Johnny Cash) in one of the photos.

Nutz, Tom's dad was originally from Fall River so he had some family connections (now gone) to NJ.
Seyz, you call them running shoes too? Almost nobody uses that term around here. They all wear sneakers.
The early 70s was before Nike, before Reebok - if you wanted cool, psychedelic-looking shoes you had to paint them yourself. Which is what Tom (and many of us) did. Buy basic white Converse shoes and paint them to suit your fancy!
Puffy, I am kind of with you on the facial hair thing. I can tolerate a moustache, and some men look great in them. But a beard? Too much hair. Plus in his photos with a beard Tom looks kind of fierce & scary, lol.
I thought was so wonderfully sweet of you to do for him! Very, very nice tribute.
